Peak Lenin expedition

PEAK LENIN

On July 6, Niels leave as a climber of Mission Summit to Kyrgyzstan to climb Peak Lenin there. This is an important step towards the ultimate goal Mount Everest and to get used to the altitude, extreme conditions and expedition life.

Lenin Peak is the second highest peak in the Pamir Mountains and the third highest mountain in the former Soviet Union and is considered one of the most accessible mountains above 7,000 meters. Lenin Peak lies between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, but climbs via the Tajik side are rare. The green fields around the base camp (3500 m) with the relative heat there are a great base for the ascent.
